Favorite era challenge: Monsta x Part 2

What is the challenge?

The challenge is to pair upwardly with another user and pick a group, Band or soloist yous wish to pick your favorite era from. It would be expert if both users had a different era they loved from the group/band/soloist, but its not required.

The Code Era:

The championship track for Monsta Ten's anthology 'The Code' is 'Dramarama'. Monsta x gained their first music show win for this song. However, this is not why its my favourite era. Dramarama tells a very interesting story near trying to go dorsum into the past to see a loved one.

Dramarama is a song that makes references to fourth dimension in its lyrics, which is where the fourth dimension travel concept comes in to play.

In the music video, the members either already posess (Wonho) or stumble across/are handed (Minhyuk and Kihyun) a time travel machine in the form of a watch. Makes sense since watches tell the time and time travel makes you travel through time. At the beginning the newspaper reads "Fourth dimension traveler skips town"

Information technology'due south beside this table that minhyuk finds the watch. We run across a figure leaving the table which seems to be this mysterious time traveller.

After we run into flashbacks of kihyun and jooheon being close together, similar best friends followed by jooheon in a car accident before kihyun is handed a lookout man by a mysterious stranger. This stranger appears to be Hyungwon.

My theory is that hyungwon is the time traveller who had skipped town and hands the device to kihyun, whom he knew had a past fifty-fifty he wanted to become back in time to change (Jooheon'south death). He as well left the other picket on the tabular array where he knew Minhyuk would detect it, we discover later on in the MV that Minhyuk has a childhood friend who he misses dearly (IM).

Wonho is dissimilar as he was not given this device. In this case wonho is further in the futurity than kihyun and minhyuk. It shows the yr 2017 on their watches and they render to the year 2015.

Wonho is show to be in the yr 2047 which is 30 years ahead of kihyun and minhyuk. Wonho travels dorsum in time to run into shownu. It is unclear what their relationship is other than it being competitive. Is it possibly his relative from the by? A grand parent maybe? Father? I guess nosotros will never know. Hyungwon

Hyungwon is our mysterious fourth dimension travelling bandet, we know that. He has many of these watch devices and goes effectually giving them to people in the year of 2017 who accept a past they wish to modify. Ill tell this story fellow member by member as there is no exact order in the music video. Information technology likewise also shown in this pelting shot where the pelting is falling usually and so starts to go back up into the heaven equally time is rewound.

Minhyuk × Chankyun

Minhyuk and Chankyun are babyhood friends. Its unclear what exactly happened to Changkyun simply minhyuk misses him dearly. Later being found, they run off together over again but soon get caught and cornered. The men hold some kind of gun at the pair and shoots. We are unsure if Changkyun is killed by this simply Minhyuk is sent back to the year 2017 and we tin can meet him holding a broken watch. He can no longer return to see his friend.

Kihyun × Jooheon

This story honestly bankrupt my centre. Before this web log i had not really paid attention to the story and it really brought tears to my optics. We come across kihyun go back in time to a road where information technology is the year 2015. Following this, we see Jooheon crash which causes kihyun to instantly get dorsum in time as he realises where he is. During this moment, Kihyun had just been dropped off by jooheon and waves bye. He didn't realise this was the last time he would see jooheon. Kihyun badly runs after the car, hoping to cease jooheon before he crashes. Kihyun is unable to stop this event in his past and spots hyungwon who he reccognises as the man who gave him the watch. We see a confrontation before hyungwon then turns dorsum fourth dimension. Still, this time is different. This fourth dimension its kihyun in the automobile and he gave his life so that jooheon could live and the story finishes with jooheon saturday in the same booth kihyun was sabbatum in at the beginning when he was given the watch.

Wonho × Shownu

Every bit i said earlier, it is unclear of the nature of shownu and wonho's relationship since in wonho's timeline, kihyun would exist in his fifty's. At this electric current time, my best guess is that information technology is wonho's male parent, peradventure his father died, so he went back in time to be his fathers friend during his youth. Just a theory. We see them playing Kendo which is a Japanese sport similar to fencing. Bamboo swords are used. In the begining, nosotros tin can see that the apply of the fourth dimension warp is prohibited, equally it states beside the clock that shows the states the day, time and yr of wonho's timeline. Wonho and Shownu come across regularly to compete against each other in the sport, that is until wonho is captured past the men in black who look like the CIA or FBI. The men restrain wonho and destroy his watch, stopping him from being able to return back to the past to see shownu. The story finishes with shownu sabbatum on the ground, looking back equally he wonders why wonho has not shown up that day. In this moment, nosotros can tell past his expression that deep down, he knows wonho wont exist back.

The Connect: Dejavu

Jealousy which is the title track for this album is non the vocal ill be covering for this equally its non the continuation of the story. However i do have theories about the meaning behind jealousy.

Destroyer is the track from the connect that ill be going over with lyrics but also the destroyer music motion picture. For me, this story is a bit more confusing equally now the members are in unlike pairs as if there has been a crossing of timelines.

Initially when i watched this music film, i had not watched the dramarama story closely so i assumed the motive was to get hyungwon back, as if they had lost him in time. Just now i see i couldn't be more incorrect. The motive is to endeavour and detect a way to get to hyungwon who is like a fourth dimension lord, a keeper of fourth dimension, past, present future.

From what i assemble, perhaps hyungwon aka the time lord is the reason they are all currently in mixed up in their timelines. This destroyer music film gives us a small idea of how the story continues just is not a full contiuation which leaves us wanting to know more than of the story and the desire to find out what happens adjacent. From what i tin personally gather, shownu is at present in the same 2017 timeline with minhyuk, wonho is stuck in the past with kihyun and Changkyun in the future with jooheon, not likewise far into the future. Nosotros know this because we only ever run into these pairs and the members dont apear together until they are at the train station in which hyungwon, the fourth dimension lord can be found.

Each of these pairs know most hyungwon and how he is the creator of the time traveling device. They each in their ain iii seperate timelines endeavour to effigy out how they tin can create their own fashion of time travel so that they can find hyungwon and restore everything to how it was. My other theory is that perhaps rather than trying to discover a mode to fourth dimension travel, they try to observe the time vortex that hyungwon is hiding in. No affair what timeline they are in, in one case the reach the fourth dimension vortex, they volition all meet together as one. In this identify time is warped and does not exist, which makes sense when we see hyungwons pocket scout going effectually and around quickly.

The Destroyer music pic ends with everyone entering the train and gathering around hyungwon in some kind of confrontation. The lyrics in this song relate to this concept in the thought that the "Destroyer" is the hyungwon. He brought these time travelling devices into their lives and hurt them past bringing up their painful past without being able to change it in the end. They got stuck in mixed timelines and he substantially destroyed their lives.

In the lyrics, specific things are mentioned that point to the song existence nearly the boys getting jealous about showing bias to certain members.

That concludes my part of this claiming, i went a flake more indepth then i planned but hopefully you volition notice a new understanding of the lastest concept from monsta 10 and why its honesty such a genius concept idea. Monsta x isnt playing with this concept, even connecting the albums with the use of the same logo which can be formed by bringing together the different versions of the anthology, connect them to make the full epitome.
